Nature and scope of the mission

In this role, he is also a technical expert with a significant impact on the entire manufacturing process, including execution, making him a crucial guarantor of technology, innovation, and ultimate customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer carries out the following expected tasks:

  • Analyze technical specifications in customer enquiries to define support needs, considering performance, capacity, power, specific needs, and environmental conditions.
  • Attend and validate design reviews during both proposal and design stages, providing technical expertise and approval.
  • Guarantor of the technology in the Product Line, ensuring that engineering and operations adhere to standardization and guidelines for competitive and reliable solutions.
  • Provide support in commissioning new lines and promote the use of best available technologies.
  • Generate and promote a portfolio of innovation projects to drive continuous improvement and stay ahead of industry advancements.

Profile

The ideal candidate necessary to have following qualities and skills:

  • Engineering degree with deep knowledge of equipment and processes in the Product Line.
  • 4 to 7 years’ experience in line galvanization, production, process control, or product development in a similar function.
  • Strong expertise in thermal, mechanical, and fluid systems, particularly in processing lines in steel industry (for carbon steels) : CAL, HDG, CCL,…
  • Good knowledges in metallurgy, advanced steels (HSS) and dedicated heat cycles, heating and cooling technologies, regarding HDG and CAL lines dedicated to automotive appliances.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to the role, showing dedication and passion in delivering outstanding results.
  • Structured, rigorous, and methodical approach to problem solving and decision-making.
  • Deep respect for deadlines and commitments, consistently delivering on promises.

Key Responsibilities

• Always adhere to and promote the safety policies of the project.
• Facilitate and monitor the implementation of the contractors Quality processes.
• Support and/or perform Quality related meetings, workshops, audits, root cause analysis, reviews and inspections at site and across the supply chain as required.
• Support reporting on Quality activities by collecting and analyzing data.
• Liaise with the contractor’s representatives for quality activities coordination and planning.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies.
• Participate in reviews and site visits.

Qualifications:

 • Bachelor / Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Ability to follow and participate in technical discussions on a first principles basis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the implementation of maintenance strategies, activity plans, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Responsible for safety, environmental, and compliance.
Execution of mechanical projects, including upgrades and installations.
Oversee and manage the mechanical systems and technology to ensure they operate efficiently and adhere to regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance, and provide regular reports to the operations management.
Working with and manage suppliers and contractors.
Foster an innovative and inclusive organizational culture with a focus on continuous improvements and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in engineering or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in greenfield projects, startups or commissioning.
  • Strong process and technical knowledge in the mechanical field.

  • Insight in digital tools for maintenance.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Identify modularization potential and drive modularization studies
Lead or participate in early engineering studies
Continuously improve the process for project development, to make us the best in class at building large-scale industrial projects
Track future project portfolio and report back to Project Delivery management

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with operations to determine unit capabilities for streamlining order
  • processing.
  • Participate in the inquiry process for timely acceptance/denial of orders outside
  • capability limits.
  • Ensure tracking for all new trial orders through the system.
  • Manage order entry Metallurgy and L3 process instructions as required for new and
  • existing grades and routings.
  • Work with Product Development, Quality Group, and Sales on new advanced steel
  • grade development and qualifications.
  • Prioritize responsibilities to support prompt order approval and disposition of
  • production coils to ensure customer satisfaction for support of scheduling and
  • customer lead times.
  • Assist in internal reject and customer claim investigations to determine root cause.
  • Carry out the assigned duties of a Team Member to support Project Management.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Material Science, Chemistry, or related discipline
  • Knowledge and experience in Steel plant specially downstream operation with 3
  • years’ experience as a Process Metallurgist is preferred

  • Lead commissioning activities in the absence of the Commissioning Manager or in
  • specific project sub-areas as required. 
  • Provide direction to the Commissioning service provider, EPCMs, OEMs, and
  • Contractors on all commissioning-related topics.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, quality, construction, and operations
  • departments to define, implement, and improve commissioning processes, including:
  • Cold and hot dip galvanizing, CAL, OCL.
  • Systemization criteria for markup of drawings (P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams, equipment layout), and sub-system and system lists.
  • Commissioning logic and activity sequencing, integrated scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Support implementation of the completion management tool and commissioning systemization.
  • Interface with operation teams during Start-Up and Early Operation phases.
  • Participate in workshops, reviews, audits, inspections, and tests as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in commissioning large industrial projects, and demonstrating
    significant managerial and leadership skills.

  • Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on our production lines.
  • Collaborate with operators, technicians, and other production personnel to identify and communicate improvements.
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Read and update technical documentation as needed.
  • Inspect components to detect wear, vibrations, or inadequate lubrication.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical components.
  • Repair and replace equipment.

  • Maintain good housekeeping standards and a safe work environment together with the team.
